OIL INJECTION

Fat Injection (Fat Inoculation)

With fat transfer or fat grafting, we can intervene on the breasts, hips or facial contours without using implants. In a fat transfer procedure, fat is taken from one area of the body, processed, and then injected into the area where you want to increase the volume.

What Can Fat Transfer Treat?

Fat transfer can be used to enlarge certain areas of the body to create folds or achieve a more youthful appearance. You can achieve good results with the fat transfer process in the following areas:

Breasts – Fat transfer can be used to enlarge breasts without using implants. This breast augmentation method produces minimal scarring and natural-looking results.

Brazilian butt (BBL) – If traditional fitness and diet strategies haven't helped you achieve a rounder, more defined butt look, fat transfer can be used to strengthen your butt and shape the body. This procedure is called Brazilian butt lift.

Facial features – Fat can be transferred to the face to fill in pitted cheeks, marionette lines, nasolabial folds, tear pits and wrinkles.

How Does Fat Transfer Work?

Fat transfer procedures take the fat from one area of your body and continue by adding the removed fat to the area you need. The procedure has five steps:

Anesthesia – At the beginning of your procedure, you will be given a local or general anesthetic. Together with you, we will determine the best type of anesthesia for your procedure. A local anesthetic may be sufficient for small amounts of fat removal. General anesthesia is preferred for larger volumes of fat removal.

Liposuction – Fat will be removed from your predetermined recipient area through liposuction. Common donor sites include the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.

Purification – For fat transfer to be successful, the removed fat cells must be cleaned and processed. Draining and, if necessary, centrifugation is necessary to remove dead cells, unnecessary fluid and other debris. This process separates components that may interfere with a successful fat transfer procedure.

Fat injection – Purified fat is injected in small amounts throughout the area you want to add.

Recovery – Your recovery time will depend on your treatment and your body's healing process. In general, you can return to work in 3 days at the earliest, depending on the area of application. You will also have some activity restrictions while you recover.

Am I a Candidate for the Fat Transfer Procedure?

We consider many factors to determine whether you are a good candidate for the fat transfer procedure. In general, ideal candidates are:

º They are in good general health.
º Having excess fat on an easily accessible part of the body.
º Non-smokers or those who will be able to quit for a long time before the procedure and throughout recovery.
º Those who do not have a health condition that interferes with the body's ability to heal.
º Those with realistic expectations.

If you do not have enough fat for fat transfer, dermal fillers or implants can be used to achieve higher volume and improve the appearance of the area.
